A LITTLE SOMETHING… YOU DIDN’T KNOW.
There’s not much Joshua Mumphrey hasn’t done when it comes to writing and sharing the stories of ordinary people living extraordinary lives. He has marveled with a tragic wreck victims rescuer, helped bring closure to a grieving former police officer, listened to a struggling student who lost her memory to a horrific trauma and sat with a physically and emotionally battered young man, that only wanted to make his mother proud.Joshua couldn’t think of anything more he’d rather be doing in the world than changing someone’s life one story or interview at a time.He served as Editor-In-Chief, Editor-At-Large, Senior Features Editor, Web Editor, and Staff Writer of his College Newspaper, The Apache Pow Wow where he first discovered his Knack for human interest journalism. His journalism icon, is Pulitzer Prize winning features writer Lane Degregory of the St. Petersbuge Times, who gave him insight and sound teaching about what it means to be a good journalist.Joshua currently holds an associates degree in Graphic Design and Photography and is currently a journalism major. His most previous position for his college newspaper was Senior Features Editor.
Accomplishments:
UPIU, a national journalism platform for students asked Joshua to do an interview to show other aspiring young writers what’s it’s like to be a lead editor and sucessful college student.
